What procedures does our office offer?
Crown Lengthening - Crown lengthening exposes more of the natural tooth by reshaping or recontouring bone and gum tissue. This procedure restores damaged teeth, prepares teeth for cosmetic procedures, and ensures new crowns don't damage gum tissues once they're in place.
Gum Recession - Every case of gum recession is slightly different, and therefore many treatments are available. First, if over-brushing, a softer toothbrush and a gentler brushing technique should be used. Then, Gum tissue regeneration and gum grafting are two excellent ways to restore natural symmetry to the gums and make the smile look more aesthetically pleasing.
Prophylaxis (Teeth Cleaning) - Prophylaxis is an excellent cleaning procedure to help keep the oral cavity in good health and also halt the progression of gum disease. It removes tartar, makes your teeth aesthetically cleaner and whiter, as well as combating bad breath.
Ridge Modification - Ridge modification treats deformities in the upper and lower jaws. The gum is lifted away from the ridge to fully expose the defect in the bone. The bony defect can be filled with bone graft material which can help regenerate lost bone, or a bone substitute.
Root Amputation - Dr. Guerrero may remove one or more roots from a tooth but leaves at least one root attached to the tooth so that it can continue to live. It is done in cases of damaged teeth, severe gum recession, or root disease.
Sinus Augmentation - If bone has been lost due to injury or periodontal disease, a sinus augmentation can raise the sinus floor to allow for new bone formation. The goal of the surgery is to graft enough bone material onto the upper jaw to support the base of a Dental Implant.
Soft Tissue Grafting - Soft-tissue grafts are used to add more gum tissue, especially when Dental Implants, or other Cosmetic Dentistry is required.
Bone Grafting - Bone grafts create a stable base for Dental Implants, as well as stopping gum disease and making your smile leaving a lasting impression.
