Dr. Jaime S. Guerrero attended University of Cartagena, School of Dentistry, in Cartagena, Colombia, where he earned his DDS degree in 1993 with outstanding academic records. Thereafter he completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency, and graduate with honors at Pontificia Javeriana University, Schools of Medicine and Dentistry, in Bogota, Colombia in 2000. A significant part of Dr. Guerrero's training was devoted to Maxillofacial Trauma, Orthognathic Surgery, TMJ Surgery and Dental Implantology. Following his surgical training in Colombia, Dr. Guerrero went to University of Miami, Jackson Memorial Hospital, in Miami, where he completed a one-year clinical rotation in Maxillofacial Tumor and Reconstructive Surgery under Dr. Eric Carlson in 2001. Upon completion of his training, Dr. Guerrero returned to Colombia and built a successful private practice in Bogota D.C, in addition to joining University El Bosque, University of Cartagena and University Antonio Nariño’s dental faculties as undergraduate and postgraduate lecturer and clinical professor. In Canada, Dr. Guerrero completed a Master's of Health Sciences (MHSc) degree in Bioethics at the renowned Joint Centre for Bioethics, University of Toronto, in 2011. Thereafter, Dr. Guerrero re-qualified his dental degree by successfully completing the NDEB’s (National Dental Examination Board of Canada) written and practical examinations for certification as a dentist in Canada in 2014. Shortly thereafter, Dr. Guerrero became member of the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario, the Ontario Dental Association and the Canadian Dental Association. Dr. Guerrero is also member of the Colombian Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and the International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.
